What if I lost my title or registration?

No problem – visit one of our offices and our friendly staff will assist you with getting a duplicate. Just bring in your valid driver's license and one of the following: License Plate #, Vin #, or proof of insurance. Our team can have the transaction processed quickly.

My plate was stolen! What do I do?

First, you should always call the local police station to report the stolen plate. Second, FastPass can help you apply for a replacement plate. Just bring in your vehicle registration, if applicable, driver’s license and proof of insurance and receive a new plate on the spot.

I just purchased a vehicle from another person. What do I need to get the title in my name?

Title transfer between individuals must be notarized, all sellers printed on the front of the title and the buyer(s) must be present to sign. If the seller(s) cannot be present, they must sign in front of two witnesses then both witnesses must be present with their state issued ID during the title transfer. You will need to bring in the title and if the buyer wants a license plate, proof of insurance for the purchased vehicle in the buyer’s name. FastPass will take care of the rest!

How much does it cost for a title transfer?

Title transfer fees are $76.50 plus sales tax based off the sales price, purchase date, and residential address of the buyer ( taxes.mfn.dps.la.gov ); license plate fee, if applicable; and mortgage fee, if applicable. ( Vehicle Registration, Title & Plate Fees - Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles ) Pass by our office for a estimated price! Title transfers can be paid by cash, debit, or credit cards.

What do I need to renew my plate?

Just bring in your vehicle registration or renewal notice alone with your proof of insurance and driver’s license and FastPass can renew your plate on the spot.

Is there an extra fee for title, registration, or license plate services at FastPass?

Yes, we do have additional fees above the Office of Motor Vehicles fees to process transactions. As a Public Tag Agent, we are allowed to charge a convenience fee of $23.00 and if additional documents are needed, there will be a minimum additional charge. Are our services worth the additional fees? Our team is friendly, fast, and can assist with any questions or help with all documents. We will get you in and out instead of waiting in long lines.

Yes we do. We are proud to support our military, first responders and teachers that service our communities and country. Thank you for all you each do each day.

Military License Plates - Thank you for your service! At FastPass, we’re proud to serve veterans and retired military personnel by issuing license plates for all branches of the service. Call the location nearest to you to make sure the plate you need is readily accessible. If we don’t have the plate you need on hand, no problem—we’ll order it for you. Then, bring in your original plate if applicable, vehicle registration, DD214 or Statement of Service, and current proof of insurance.

Mobility Impaired License Plates - If you have a Permanent Impairment or are a Veteran with a 50% or more Service-Connected Disability, you're eligible for a Mobility Impaired (commonly known as handicap) License Plate. Bring your Medical Examiner’s Certification or, for Disabled Veterans, a decision letter or affidavit from the Veterans Affairs Office. You'll also need a photo ID, proof of insurance, and your current Vehicle Registration. With this documentation, FastPass can issue your plate.
