Mobility Impaired Services We process hang tags, renewals, replacements, and license plates  for the mobility impaired. All of our locations are handicap accessible. Make An Appointment Hang Tags Need a handicap hang tag? FastPass can issue temporary and permanent hang tags for those with a mobility impairment. You must have a Louisiana Driver’s License and/or Louisiana Identification Card to be issued a handicap hang tag. If you have a Medical Examiner’s Certification for mobility impairment, Disabled Veteran decision letter, or affidavit from the Veterans Affairs Office, FastPass can issue your hang tag. Just bring your certificate and Louisiana state issued photo ID, and we’ll take care of the rest! License Plates If you have a “Permanent Impairment” or are a Veteran with a 50% or more “Service Connected Disability,” you’re eligible for a Mobility Impaired (handicap) License Plate. Bring your Medical Examiner’s Certification for mobility impairment or, for Disabled Veterans, a decision letter or affidavit from the Veterans Affairs Office. You’ll also need a photo ID, proof of insurance, and your current Vehicle Registration, and FastPass can issue your plate. Hang Tag Renewals In Louisiana, handicap hang tags are issued as either temporary or permanent, and this status determines both the expiration date and whether a physician’s certificate is required at renewal. Temporary hang tags are valid for one year and require a new Physician’s Certification of Mobility Impairment form each time they are renewed. Permanent hang tags are valid for four years, and the physician’s certificate is only required at the time of initial issuance. Disabled veteran hang tags must also be renewed every four years. Unlike license plates, they do not have a permanent expiration. FastPass Tag & Title can renew and print your new hang tag in under 30 minutes!
